Vanesa Royo – Finding Magic Through the Lens of Motherhood

At minimalisma, we deeply appreciate the art of photography—especially when it captures the beauty, spontaneity, and authenticity of childhood. That’s why we are so excited to introduce you to Vanesa Royo, the talented photographer behind some of recent images we shared.

Photography has always been a part of Vanesa’s life. From her teenage years, she was drawn to capturing the small, magical details of everyday life—lights, reflections, shadows, and fleeting moments that tell a story. But when she became a mother, something changed.

At first, motherhood blocked her photography. It wasn’t until after the birth of her second child that she picked it up again—not just to take pictures but as a personal need. This time, she looked at the world differently. Instead of simply photographing children, she began observing the magic they bring—the spontaneity, imagination, and raw emotion that make every moment unique.

Vanesa started experimenting again, letting go of rigid ideas about children’s photography and embracing her own style. She found inspiration in other mother photographers and discovered that children’s photography was even more than what she believed it was. She let go of control, allowing moments to unfold naturally, and in doing so, she rediscovered her artistic voice.

Today, her work beautifully blends emotion and authenticity, capturing the purest essence of childhood and motherhood. Through her lens, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and the smallest details tell the biggest stories.

At minimalisma, we are honoured to have collaborated with Vanesa and to see our pieces through her unique perspective! Her photographs don’t just showcase clothing; they tell a story of warmth, nostalgia, and the beauty of everyday life.

Thank you, Vanesa, for sharing your world with us!
