Find the questions and answers below.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do ♡

minimalisma combines Scandinavian serenity with children's fashion, emphasising simplicity, functionality and sustainability. Rooted in the tranquil beauty of Scandinavia, it offers timeless, comfortable clothing made from natural materials, reflecting a commitment to quality and the environment.  The brand captures the essence of Nordic minimalism, ensuring that children's clothing is both elegant and practical.

Where do you get your inspiration from and how do you then translate that into your designs?
Nature is my constant muse and boundless source of inspiration.

The vibrant energy of Copenhagen and the kaleidoscope of colours and styles it offers, whether in a window frame or someone’s unique fashion statement, never cease to amaze me. My children and their friends also play a key role in sparking my creativity.

What’s your most treasured item from any collection?
The Tausen sweater holds a special place in my heart, crafted from 100% Cashmere and designed based on a traditional Faroese pattern. What makes it so treasured is that it was knitted by my mum, infusing it with sentimental value. Additionally, I love our silk and wool seamless creations, not only for myself but also for my children. And from AW24, also in soft merino wool for my husband.

What’s your favourite country and why?
Choosing a favourite country is like selecting a favourite colour – each holds its unique charm. Having been born in Denmark, it naturally occupies a special place in my heart.  The Faroe Islands, my childhood home, will forever be a cherished part of my identity. However, various periods spent in other countries and cities, coupled with over a decade in Switzerland, have woven a tapestry of belonging. I would say the diversity and richness each place offers contribute to the patchwork of my life and singling out one as a favourite would diminish the importance each destination has had on making me who I am today.

What exciting projects/collabs/ news do you have coming up?

Recently, a renowned brand acquired a substantial selection of styles from our collection, so we are very excited about what lies ahead. Alongside our SS25, we are currently working on a new project which holds a great potential for our company. Projects constantly evolve from new ideas – there’s never a dull moment. The journey of creation is dynamic, and I appreciate the surprises it brings.

What 3 things would you take on a desert island with the kids?

My daughter recently posed me the same question and we concluded that a magic wand would undoubtedly come in handy. The presence of my husband and a stash of liquorice, my sweet addiction, would complete the trio. Prepared with these essentials, the island escapade would undoubtedly become a magical adventure for the whole family.
